The candelabra is what I light candles with every week to welcome in the holy Sabbath into my home. The gust of wind or imaginary winds, coming in from the window are that of the Sabbath queen, that we welcome every Friday night. The linen texture of this particular canvas is very raw. I wanted to use that so that, the paintings pigment would flow and I wanted the candelabra to be the focal point.
