This painting included my process of visiting the site, photographing it, drawing it on paper, and then transferring it to canvas. It was hard because it’s one of the largest paintings that I created, but it was fulfilling because it tells a story of my process. I’ll always love the Santa Monica boardwalk with the mountains of Malibu in the background. I hope to be inspired to paint another soon including the Ferris wheel.
